The Ten Essentials, the First Trailmix.Net Online Seminar

This weekend we put the finishing touches on the first Trailmix.Net online Seminar.  The seminar topic is “The 10 Essentials” and covers ten things that everybody should carry into the backcountry.  This list was originally published by The Mountaineers, and we have rearranged the topics into three areas:  Protection from the Elements, Navigation, and Essential Tools.

The Ten Essentials Seminar was co-produced by the Placer County Mountain Rescue Team, an all volunteer Search and Rescue (SAR) team located in Auburn, CA.  You can read about their adventures here.

The seminar takes less than 8 minutes and it’s target audience is people who are new to outdoor recreation and would like to develop a better understanding of fundamental outdoor safety.

You can access the seminar in our seminar download area.  ENJOY!!!
