Hello, just wanted to introduce myself and say that this site is a fantastic idea! I am also in the Sacramento area (Roseville, actually) and am looking for ways to keep my little ones (two boys ages 1 and 2) connected to the natural world. We live in a very suburban area, so there are few wild spaces very close by our home. However, we're lucky to have lots of great places to explore with short drives in several directions. We recently started letterboxing, which has led us to places we probably wouldn't have found otherwise.
I really appreciate the resources and ideas I've found so far on trailmix.net. I'm looking forward to seeing it grow!
